Toing and froing, searching for support, finding place. ‘Make Do’ is a lamp that has been designed to reflect both its user and the space it inhabits through an intentional flaw, requiring a weighted support at its base.

The user and lamp perform together in an awkward ballet, holding each other until the lamp can stand on its own using something in arm’s reach; a found object or an intentionally selected material. Through this contribution, ‘Make Do’ becomes an extension of the user and part of place.
